Recipes

mom and daughter cooking together I love to cook - always have. Cooking feeds my body, mind, and soul. It allows me to control the quality and ingredients of the food I put into my body, connect with my family and friends over a home cooked meal, and save the money I might otherwise spend in restaurants or on processed, prepackaged foods.

Rather than approaching cooking as a chore, I like to think of it as a way to honor myself and my loved ones. Believe it or not, making simple and satisfying meals from scratch doesn’t have to be hard. Here are some of my favorite easy, healthy recipes. Check back often, I'm always adding something new. You’ll find that eating well can also be delicious!

A note to the reader: Here's how I approach a new recipe. I follow it fairly closely the first time I make it. But, if I feel it calls for too much salt, or it has sugar in it, or I don't have one of the ingredients listed, I'll modify right then. I invite you to do the same. If you don't like quinoa, for example, substitute brown rice or another grain you like. Can't stand stevia? Use your favorite natural sweetener.
